Landing her first office job at the age of 18, Mary worked her way up to management within one year. Since then, Mary is referred to as a knowledgeable leader among her peers and is often recognized for her influential leadership style. Mary possesses over a decade of experience in cultivating employee engagement, employee motivation, enhancing workplace performance, leadership coaching and training & development. These qualifications and passion for excellence led Mary to start D&M Consulting Services, LLC (D&M), a leadership development and talent management firm located in South Florida.

Mary believes organizations practicing honest communication are more likely to develop healthy, committed relationships with their employees. This belief motivated her to launch the Honest Leadership™ program at D&M and create the Honest Model™, a model used to strategically develop better relationships between employers and their employees.

In addition to her hands-on work experience, Mary holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Nova Southeastern University.

Facing many struggles in her young adult years, Mary understands the importance of giving back to her community. In addition to her work, she exemplifies leadership by volunteering at homeless teen shelters and mentoring youth facing hard times.

Mary currently serves as an active member of Leaders Recognizing Leaders, a 501(c)3 certified non-profit  global youth leadership organization focused on developing young leaders; the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW); and as VP of Administration for the South Florida Chapter of the National Association of African American’s in Human Resources (NAAAHR), also a 501(c)3 certified non-profit organization.
